Q - What do I need to run NRGSTREAM Extractor?
To run NRGSTREAM Extractor you must run a Microsoft operating system from Windows 2000 forward (i.e.. 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7) and have access to the internet.
Q - How come Xtractor output csv files sometime line up the data on one time series and sometimes they post a time series for each stream?
If your csv file has more than one time series, you have selected streams that have an inconsistent data interval like contract data for example. Streams that have consistent intervals (ie. 5 min, hourly, etc) will line up together.
Q - Whats the difference between the SQL XML and the XML in NRGSTREAM Xtractor?
The SQL XML file is formatted for use with the SQL Server XML Bulk Load Component to directly load your extract into your database.
Q - Under Vista, no extracts are showing up and I cannot create new extracts.
User Access Control in Vista can interfere with Extractor. To resolve this, right click on Extractor and choose Run as Administrator
Q - In corporate network environments with restricted security settings, Extractor may hang when manually running an extract.
If the NRGSTREAM Extractor service is running under a specific user account, you must be logged into Windows as the same user on the same domain as the service to manually run extracts.
Q - Extractor service cannot connect or extracts are not running on schedule and there is a Crypt32 error in the event log.
A recent change from Microsoft has caused some issues with Extractor. Microsoft Knowledge base article KB317541 describes how to resolve this issue.
